InkTick

Snap a receipt. Someone ticks it. Your books get a draft with the original still attached.

InkTick is receipt capture for small businesses and the bookkeepers who look after them. It reads the merchant, total, tax and invoice number off a photo — then stops, and waits for a person to confirm it. Nothing reaches your accounts until someone has said yes.

WHY THE TICK Other tools race to post automatically, and you find the mistakes at year end. InkTick does not. A person confirms every claim, and the original photo stays attached to the entry for ten years — so when the tax office asks, the proof is already there.

WHAT IT DOES • Snap with the camera, pick from your gallery, forward a PDF, or drop a whole shoebox in as a ZIP • Reads merchant, date, total and tax, and shows you how sure it is about each one • Approvals that match how your business actually works, with limits and delegation • Publishes drafts to Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, Zoho, Sage and FreeAgent • Matches bank lines to receipts, so you can see at a glance what has no proof behind it • Mileage and per diem claims at your country's rates • Export everything whenever you like. Your data leaves with you.

TEN MARKETS, PROPERLY Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Brazil, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Each company file gets the right tax codes, the right currency and the right bank file format — not an American product with the words changed.

WHAT INKTICK NEVER DOES It does not issue cards. It does not move your money. It does not publish anything without a person ticking it first.
