Pitch & Pulse

Pitch & Pulse is a tuner, tone generator and metronome built by an orchestra teacher for students, teachers and working musicians. It does a few things, and it does them reliably.

TUNER - Needle or strobe display — the strobe shows the fundamental and four overtones as moving bands, so you can see your tuning at a glance - Steady, accurate readings all the way down to the lowest notes on a string bass - Equal temperament or just intonation, with an adjustable key center - Reference pitch from A = 400 to 480 Hz - Note names in concert pitch, or as read by B-flat, A, E-flat and F instruments

TONE - A warm, blendable reference tone for tuning and intonation practice — not a harsh beep - Single notes or chords across seven octaves, tap or sustain - Chromatic or circle-of-fifths note wheel - Just intonation that can follow the chord you're playing - Play tones and chords from a MIDI keyboard

METRONOME - 30 to 300 BPM, with tap tempo - Accented downbeat and adjustable beats per bar - Mix in subdivisions with individual volume faders
