Vigil Companion

Vigil for iPhone is the free companion to Vigil for Mac, the app that keeps a MacBook awake with the lid closed while Claude Code, a build or an export runs, then lets it sleep the moment the job is done.

Close the lid, put the Mac in your bag, and keep an eye on it from your phone.

NOW • What is keeping the Mac awake, and why • Every Claude Code session at a glance: a colour and a shape for each state, so you know if it is editing, running tests, or waiting for you • Lid, battery, heat, and how long the battery will last • Let it sleep: one tap drops every hold and the Mac goes to sleep

DYNAMIC ISLAND AND LOCK SCREEN • A Live Activity in the same status language as the notch on your Mac • Show it all the time, or only while the lid is closed

NOTIFICATIONS • A ring the moment an agent finishes, or when it needs your permission • Arrives even when the app is closed

WIDGETS • Status, Claude Code sessions, Mac vitals and today's holds, for the Home Screen and the Lock Screen

HISTORY • Every hold: when it started, how long the lid was shut, what the battery did, and why it stopped

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no sign-in, no servers. Your Mac and your phone talk through your own private iCloud, and nothing is collected.

Requires Vigil for Mac, signed in to the same iCloud account. Without a Mac, tap "See a sample" to look around.
