Zynlo

Zynlo is a spaced repetition app for people who already have something to learn.

Bring the material. Zynlo handles what happens after a card exists: it tests you in a way that produces real evidence, notices where recall breaks down, helps repair the gap while it is still fresh, checks the fix worked, and schedules the next encounter so the knowledge stays.

WHY ZYNLO IS DIFFERENT Most flashcard apps show you a card, ask whether you knew it, and trust your judgement. Zynlo gradually asks you to produce the answer yourself.

New material starts gently. As your recall becomes stronger, cards progress towards typed production so Zynlo can measure what you can actually retrieve rather than what you think you knew.

When something goes wrong, the mistake becomes useful evidence rather than just another red card.

BRING WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE Import from Anki, including supported media and review history. Import from Mochi. Import CSV, TSV, JSON or Markdown files, including awkward files full of commas, quotes and formatting.

Generate learning material in ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant and import the result. Or create cards yourself with formatted text, images and maths. Your learning material belongs to you. Zynlo is designed around studying it, not locking it inside a content catalogue.

BUILD BETTER CARDS AS YOU LEARN Learning does not stop when the flashcard is created. Attach multiple notes, screenshots or photographs directly to a card without changing what the card is testing. Review all of your Notes & Images from the subject itself, while keeping them hidden during recall until they are appropriate to see. Create reverse cards when you need to learn knowledge in both directions. Or reverse an entire subject without duplicating the underlying material.

PRIVATE, OFFLINE-FIRST AND YOURS Your study library lives on your device and works offline. Accounts are optional. Sign in with Apple, Google or email if you want a Zynlo account, while continuing to use the app without one. Your local cards, review history, typed answers and Notes & Images remain available without signing in. Export a complete Zynlo backup whenever you want, including supported images and learning history. Anonymous usage statistics can be switched off in the app.
