Bass TAB by Ear is an iPhone app that turns your own audio into a draft bass tab in tab and staff notation, which you then compare against the recording and correct by tapping notes, strings, frets and durations. It offers isolated bass playback, slowed playback without pitch change, and a click track for checking rhythm. It is aimed at bass players who learn songs by ear, and its standout point is that all analysis happens on the device, so audio never leaves the phone.

The draft is not perfect. That is exactly what makes it practice: you listen, and you fix it.
Works with 44.1 kHz audio, up to about 7 minutes. Requires iOS 16.4 or later; designed for iPhone 11 or newer.
