ChatBlur helps you redact chat screenshots before sharing them. Choose an image, let on-device detection cover sensitive details, and make any final adjustments before saving.

Automatic detection Find and cover phone numbers, email addresses, web links, usernames, names, QR codes, and barcodes. Replace detected chat avatars with built-in illustrations.

Your choice of style Use a solid color, Pixelate, Blur, or Mosaic. Choose which types of information to cover in Settings. Your style, color, and protection preferences are saved for next time.

Quick manual adjustments Use Brush to cover details the automatic scan missed. Use Erase to remove unwanted masks, and Undo to revise your changes. Press and hold Original to compare with the source image.

Processing stays on your device Image analysis and editing take place on your device, without uploading screenshots to our servers. No account, advertising, or analytics. Core image processing works offline; opening the online privacy policy requires an internet connection.

Save a separate copy Save the edited image to Photos while keeping the original unchanged. You can also send a screenshot to ChatBlur from the system share sheet, edit it, and share the result.

Available in 12 interface languages, with layouts that adapt to iPhone and iPad.

Automatic detection can miss sensitive details. Review the final image before sharing, and use Brush to cover anything you want to keep private.
