Contractor Calculator helps contractors, carpenters, remodelers and hands-on builders plan materials without a signal. Enter dimensions, include a waste allowance, see how the result was calculated, and save the estimate with its project.

USEFUL TOOLS, FREE • Concrete: rectangular slab volume, ready-mix order increments, and 60 lb or 80 lb bag alternatives. • Paint: wall area, opening deductions, whole coats, coverage, waste and whole-unit order quantities. • Square Up: a target diagonal and the difference from your measurement. Check both diagonals and all sides. • Projects: save, rename, delete, revisit and share estimates, including their inputs and assumptions.

FEET, INCHES AND FRACTIONS Use a dedicated measurement editor with quick fraction keys. Enter feet and inches, decimal values, or explicit metric units. Convert current inputs between imperial and metric. Choose fraction display precision from 1/8 through 1/64 inch.

SHOW THE MATH Open the calculation breakdown to see the original inputs, formula, base quantity, waste allowance, rounding and optional material cost. Enter your own supplier prices and choose a cost currency. No exchange rates or guessed material prices.

OPTIONAL LIFETIME PRO Preview the Pro tools before you buy. One non-consumable in-app purchase unlocks: • Decking: board courses, whole-stock quantities, waste and costs. • Stairs: equal risers, treads, run, pitch and an envelope diagonal for planning. • Board Feet: lumber volume, quantity, waste allowance and cost. No subscription. No intrusive advertising.

OFFLINE AND PRIVATE Calculations and saved projects work offline. No account, app-operated backend or analytics tracking. Projects stay in local app storage; you choose what to share. Apple handles purchases, and an internet connection is required to buy or restore Pro.

Results are not structural engineering approval or a guarantee of building-code compliance. Stair envelope diagonals are not finished stringer cut lengths. Material costs exclude labor, delivery and taxes. Paint uses US gallons in imperial mode.
