FlitFind is a Mac file search app that matches as you type and looks inside PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and many code and text formats, not just filenames. It suits people who want more precise search than Spotlight, with wildcards, regex, boolean queries, and filters by extension, size, and date. One notable point is that the index stays entirely on the device and only folders the user explicitly grants access to are indexed.
