Izayoi — Insect Song Garden

À propos
Search the autumn night for singing insects. As you move your lantern, their voices draw near or fade away. Come too close too fast, and they fall silent.
Release what you catch into your own garden. Where you place each insect changes where you hear it and how far away it sounds. Two of the same kind placed close together sing in turns.
• 14 Japanese autumn insects, from the bell cricket (Suzumushi) to the tree cricket (Kantan) • Every voice is generated live in the app, and each insect sings with its own pitch and pace • The moon in the sky matches tonight’s real moon. The fuller it is, the easier the insects are to find • Warmer nights make them sing faster; cooler nights, slower • Light rain, wind, night depth (echo), and a sleep timer • Keeps playing when your screen is locked — for sleep or focus • Share a short video of your garden
Insects never die and never run away, so nothing is lost if you take a break. Izayoi is completely free to use. If you enjoy it, you can support it with an optional tip.
