Plants Won't Freeze estimates the overnight low at plant height for your exact garden spot, which can run colder than the forecast on clear, calm nights. It sends one evening note with a frost verdict and a suggested action, such as covering tomatoes or bringing pots inside. It is aimed at gardeners growing tender or hardy plants, and it can also flag when to protect hoses and outdoor taps.

On clear, still nights the ground loses heat fast, so the air at plant height gets colder than the forecast low. Plants Won't Freeze estimates that garden low for your exact spot and sends you one note before dark: cover the tomatoes, bring the pots in, or relax.
