Resumable Recorder is a private voice recorder for ideas, meetings and lectures that don't fit into one take.

STOP NOW, RESUME LATER Stop a recording and come back to it whenever you're ready. Each time you resume, Resumable adds a new part to the same memo. Playback runs through the whole memo, with no separate files to stitch together.

BUILT NOT TO LOSE AUDIO Resumable saves your recording as it goes. If the app is interrupted or closed unexpectedly, it recovers the audio recorded up to that moment the next time you open it.

CONTROL IT FROM THE LOCK SCREEN A Live Activity shows your recording on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Pause, stop or drop a bookmark without unlocking. Your bookmark count updates as you tap. To resume, tap Resume and the app opens and continues the same memo.

BOOKMARKS AND NOTES Mark important moments while recording or listening, add a short note, and jump straight back to them later. Bookmarks appear on the memo's waveform.

ON-DEVICE TRANSCRIPTS Turn any memo into text right on your iPhone. Tap a word in the transcript to jump to that moment in the audio. Your audio is never uploaded for transcription.

ORGANIZE AND FIND Sort memos into folders. Search across memo titles, transcripts, bookmark notes and folder names.

LISTEN YOUR WAY See each memo's waveform, skip back or ahead 15 seconds, and play at 1×, 1.5× or 2× speed.

SHARE WHAT YOU NEED Share a memo as an audio file, or share its transcript as text or as a .txt file.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. Your recordings, transcripts and notes stay on your iPhone.

Deleted memos go to Recently Deleted for 30 days, so you can restore them if you change your mind.

Requires iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Transcription uses Apple's on-device speech recognition; on iOS 26, your iPhone may download Apple's speech model the first time you transcribe.
