ScreenQR - Screen QR Reader

ScreenQR reads QR codes and barcodes displayed anywhere on your Mac's screen with a single shortcut. It lives quietly in the menu bar.

Conference slides, app download links on web pages, Wi-Fi credentials, contact cards in images. Decode them on your Mac without picking up your phone.

■ Simple • Press Option+Command+Q (customizable). ScreenQR finds the code on screen and copies its contents. • Several codes? Pick one by clicking its numbered frame or pressing its number. • Nothing detected? Drag a rectangle around the code.

■ Actions that match the content • URL → open in the browser you choose (Safari, Chrome, …) • Wi-Fi → shows the network name and copies the password with one click • Contact (vCard) → add to Contacts • Event (iCalendar) → add to Calendar • Email, phone, location → handed to the matching app Links are never opened automatically, only when you press Open.

■ Barcodes too Besides QR, ScreenQR detects EAN/UPC, Code 39/93/128, ITF, Codabar, GS1 DataBar, Aztec, Data Matrix and PDF417 (can be turned off).

■ History Re-copy any of your last 50 scans from the menu bar. History is stored only on this Mac and can be cleared at any time.

■ Privacy first • A single frame is captured only when you trigger a scan. No continuous monitoring. • Nothing is uploaded. The app has no network capability at all. • No analytics, no ads. • App Sandbox enabled.

Screen Recording permission is required so the app can look for codes on your display. Relaunch the app after granting it.
