En bref

Sift: Ask the Comments starts with its name. It lets people share a social media post to the app, ask a question about it, and receive an answer as a notification that lists the comments it came from. It suits anyone who wants a quick answer from a long comment thread, and it stands out for showing its sources and agreement counts and for saying so when no one answered.

À propos

Don't dig through the comments. Sift them.

Someone in there usually knows — 800 comments down, inside someone else's replies. Sift reads the comments for you. Share any post to Sift, ask your question, and get the answer as a notification — with the exact comments it came from.

• What song is this? • Where's that jacket from? • What's the recipe? • Who is this? What happened after?

HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap Share on a post and pick Sift. No link? Share a screenshot of the post instead. 2. Tap a question (or type your own). 3. Keep scrolling. Sift reads the comments and pings you with the answer.

HONEST ANSWERS Every answer shows the comments it came from, how many people agree, and how confident Sift is. Spam and bot comments don't count. If nobody answered, Sift says so — it never makes things up.

ANY LANGUAGE Comments can be in any language. Sift answers in your phone's language.

WORKS WITH TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, X, Threads, LinkedIn and Bluesky links. Screenshots work for TikTok, Instagram and X posts, or any screenshot that shows the post's link.

PRICING 15 free answers every 30 days — and if nobody in the comments knows, it doesn't count. Sift+ reads deeper into big threads, keeps watching a post until someone answers, and gives you up to 20 answers a day, for $4.99/month or $29.99/year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

PRIVACY No account, no name, no email. Screenshots are read once and thrown away. Delete everything in one tap.
