Sift: Photo Cleanup is a utility for tidying a phone's camera roll. It groups near-identical photos, suggests the sharpest shot with good exposure and open eyes, and lets users swipe to keep, delete or favorite items in sessions of 20 to 200. Everything runs on the device, and deletions are reviewed in an overview before they happen. Standout detail: photos you keep appear less often in later sessions.

KEEP THE BEST SHOT, DELETE THE REST • Sift finds photos you took seconds apart that look alike, including hidden burst frames • It suggests the best shot of each group, looking at sharpness, exposure and closed eyes • One swipe keeps the best and marks the rest for deletion, or tap to pick the keepers yourself • All analysis happens on your device

SWIPE TO DECIDE • Swipe left to delete, right to keep, up to favorite • Choose a session of 20, 50, 100 or 200 items, perfect for a coffee break • Items are picked at random, so you rediscover your whole library, not just last week

NOTHING IS DELETED BY ACCIDENT • Your swipes are collected first: review everything you marked in one clear overview before anything is deleted • See at a glance how many photos and videos will go, and the total video length • Changed your mind? Tap an item to keep it, or undo your last swipe • Deleted items move to Recently Deleted, so you can still recover them for 30 days

IT REMEMBERS WHAT YOU KEEP • Photos you keep show up less often in future sessions, so your time goes to the clutter • Over the months they gradually come back, in case you change your mind
