À propos

Socinus Bible brings the Bible and the writings of the Socinians together, fully offline. Beside the verses, a book mark in the margin shows where Faustus Socinus, Johannes Crell, the Racovian Catechism and other works expound them. A tap lists the passages, another opens one in the work, a third brings you back. A tap on a word leads to the Hebrew or Greek original.

THE SOCINIAN LIBRARY 17 works of the Socinian Reformation (16th–17th century), 16 in English, 17 in German, the Racovian Catechism also in Spanish, French and Polish: • Faustus Socinus: On Jesus Christ the Saviour; On the Nature of Jesus Christ; On the Authority of Holy Scripture; On the Church; On Justification; On the Honor of Christ; On the Existence of the Only-Begotten Son of God; On the Non-Invocation of Jesus Christ in Prayer; commentaries on the Sermon on the Mount and on 1 John; Theologische Untersuchungen (German only) • Johannes Crell: Christian Ethics; Aristotelian Ethics • Michael Servetus: On the Divine Trinity; On the Mystery of the Trinity • Andrzej Wiszowaty: Rational Religion • The Racovian Catechism • Over 17,000 Bible references, linked in both directions • Footnotes, a glossary of 1,500+ terms, an index of Bible passages and search in each work

THREE BIBLE EDITIONS • King James Version (1769) with Strong’s numbers • Luther Bible 1912 (German): here too a tap leads to the original word. Words are linked by fixed, verifiable rules and marked as such; uncertain words stay without a number • Racovian New Testament of 1630 (German) by Johannes Crell and Joachim Stegmann, a new edition with over 10,000 marginal notes: literal Greek, other readings and renderings, explanations, references. Wording differences from Luther are determined mechanically and marked, listed per chapter

ORIGINAL TEXT • Lexicon panel: Hebrew or Greek word, transliteration, meaning, grammar, derivation, renderings; 19,671 entries from Strong’s Dictionary and STEP Bible • All occurrences of a word, with distribution across the books and filters • Interlinear original text of every verse, with transliteration, Strong’s numbers and grammar in plain words

READ AND COMPARE • Parallel view: a second edition or the original under every verse • Compare a verse across all editions • Over 330,000 cross-references (Treasury of Scripture Knowledge) • Words of Jesus in red (KJV)

SEARCH • Words and phrases across Bible, works, Racovian NT and its marginal notes, with counts • Strong’s numbers (G3056) in Bible and Racovian NT, references (“John 3:16”) • Similar forms, match case, limit to testament, book or works

LISTEN • Bible and works read aloud with system voices, the current verse highlighted • Keeps playing in the background, with lock screen and headphone controls • Speed and sleep timer

STUDY • Verse of the day from 366 passages, with optional daily reminder • Seven reading plans, e.g. the Bible in a year and “Socinian key texts”: the 30 chapters the works expound most often • Reading progress in the chapter grid and each work’s contents • Continue reading, history

YOUR ENTRIES • Highlights in five colors, notes and bookmarks, in Bible and works • Collections and “My entries” with filters and search • Copy verses with reference or share them as an image card • Export and restore a backup file
