VigasAPP is a utility for defining and analysing two-dimensional beams with the matrix stiffness method. Users set geometry, supports, springs and a range of point, moment and distributed loads, then view reactions and shear, moment, rotation and deflection diagrams with exportable PDF or text reports. It is aimed at students and engineers doing study or independent checks, and it stands out for its input checks that flag incomplete or inconsistent data before calculation.

Define and analyse two-dimensional beams with VigasAPP using the matrix stiffness method.

Create a beam step by step or edit its geometry, end conditions, intermediate supports and springs. Add point forces, moments, distributed loads and polynomial loads, including positive and negative values. Input checks help you identify incomplete or inconsistent data before calculating.

Open Results to calculate reactions and explore shear, bending moment, rotation and deflection diagrams. Inspect values at chosen positions, extrema and both sides of discontinuities, and read piecewise equations.

Choose metric engineering, SI or imperial units. Work with known E and I, or inspect symbolic EI expressions where the model permits. Export a PDF with a dimensioned sketch, assumptions, units, reactions, diagrams and equations, or a text verification report.

Save named beams, reopen them and exchange models as versioned .vigasapp files. The adaptive interface makes room for the diagram and editor on iPhone, iPad and Apple silicon Mac. On Mac, use the pointer, keyboard shortcuts and native file panels.

Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German and French.
