LOG WHAT YOU FIND
• Add a sighting in seconds: a photo, a category and a name • Location and date are captured for you, so you can find the spot again on your map • Adding an older photo from your library? BioLog uses the place and date saved in the photo — or asks you where and when it was taken • Ten categories: Birds, Mammals, Insects & Spiders, Trees & Shrubs, Wildflowers & Plants, Mushrooms & Fungi, Reptiles & Amphibians, Water Life, Fossils & Stones, and Tracks & Signs • Works without a signal: sightings save on your phone and sync when you're back online
IDENTIFY WITH AI
• Instant suggestions: Tap Analyze with AI for a suggested common and scientific name, where it fits in the tree of life, and a note on its habitat • You're in control: BioLog asks for your permission before sending anything, tells you exactly what is sent, and lets you decide whether to keep the suggestion • Safety first: AI matches visual traits and can be wrong — never rely on it to decide what is safe to eat or handle
YOUR SIGHTINGS, ORGANIZED
• Recent Sightings groups everything by month, with past years folded away • The Area map shows sightings near you or anywhere you explore • Save favorite places — a local park, a trail, your garden — and jump straight to them
SHARE WITH FELLOW BIOLOGGERS
You control what you share, sighting by sighting. Your first sighting starts private, and if you're under 18 every new sighting does. Share one and it appears on the community map at an approximate location, so no one can pinpoint where you were, while friends you've connected with see its exact spot. You can report content or block another user at any time.
BUILT WITH PRIVACY IN MIND
• No ads, and no advertising identifiers • Your data is never sold • Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, whenever you like • For ages 13 and up • Every new account confirms its email address before getting started
