Bird ID & Sounds (Warbla) identifies birds on an iPhone either from live song or from a photo, with both tools running on the device, so they work offline. It is aimed at birdwatchers and learners, and it limits suggestions to species found in the user's chosen region. One notable point is that microphone audio is analyzed on the phone and never recorded or uploaded.

Warbla tells you which bird is singing, or which bird is in your photo, right on your iPhone. Both identifiers run on the device, so they keep working on a trail with no signal or in airplane mode. There is no account to create.

IDENTIFY BY SONG • Tap Listen and hold your iPhone toward the sound • Warbla listens live in 5-second windows and names the birds it hears • Microphone audio is analyzed on your iPhone and is never recorded, saved or uploaded

IDENTIFY BY PHOTO • Take a photo or choose one from your library • Pinch to frame the bird, then tap Identify • Matches come from the same list of nearly 10,000 bird species

ONLY THE BIRDS WHERE YOU ARE Pick your region: North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia or Australia & NZ. Warbla then suggests only birds that live there. No location permission needed.
