Bota-Log

Which parent did this plant come from? Keep it traceable, years from now.

Bota-Log is a cultivation ledger for the records of each plant and the lineage that links parents to offspring. Record fields are tailored to 15 genres, including carnivorous plants, staghorn ferns, caudiciforms, aroids, agaves and orchids.

■ Records for every plant • Number each plant and keep photos, watering, feeding, repotting and measurements • Fields fit each genre, and you can add your own task templates • Sort plants into groups by location and record for many at once

■ Lots that link generations • Record spore cultures, seed sowings and divisions as "lots" • Link the parents, select the plants that grow, and the lineage parent → lot → offspring connects automatically • Trace any number of generations in the lineage chart; pinch to zoom

■ Certificates you can verify • Make a certificate of lineage as a PDF to print or share • Its QR code shows whether it has been altered and who issued it • Give a plant away together with its records and lineage • Print plant labels with QR codes (sticker sheets, label printers, P-touch tape)

■ Watering guide and plans • The app learns each plant's watering interval, adjusting for seasons and dormancy • Plans can repeat every N days, weekly or monthly, with notifications • See plans and records together in the calendar

■ See growth • Chart caudex diameter, height or leaf counts over time • Make social posts with names and records on your photos • Compare any two photos side by side

■ Keep your data safe • Back up everything, photos included, to a single file and restore anytime • Export to JSON or CSV

■ Pricing • Basic (free): up to 10 plants, 2 lots, 3 plans and 2 groups. Records, photos, the watering guide, lineage charts, certificates, labels, social posts and backups are all included • Premium: no limits, plus iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac, dashboard insights, advanced photo adjustments, social frames, certificate issuer details and more. Choose monthly, yearly or lifetime
