Chinese Step by Step includes 250 short lessons built around everyday situations. Each lesson introduces two target Chinese characters, pinyin, beginner-friendly English meanings, a useful sentence and space to practise writing. By the end of the included course, you will have studied 500 unique target characters.

PRACTISE AND REVIEW • Use two handwriting areas in each lesson • Search course phrases in the Phrasebook • Add, edit and delete your own English, Chinese and pinyin phrase entries • Keep your progress, handwriting records, settings and personal phrases on your device

USE IT OFFLINE Course lessons and bundled audio work without an internet connection after the app is installed. An App Store connection is required to load purchase information, make a purchase or restore purchases.

BACK UP YOUR LEARNING Export a human-readable JSON backup through the system file picker. Import validates the complete file and shows a summary before you confirm replacement of your local learning data. You choose where exported files are stored.
