Fluent Immigrant - English

You understand almost everything. You pay your bills in English. And you still dodge the phone call.

Fluent Immigrant is an immersion program for immigrants, and for anyone going where English takes them. The method is called the Fluency Ladder.

Every word climbs three rungs: New: you have met it. Known: you recognise it when you hear it. Mastered: it comes out of your mouth without thinking.

HOW IT WORKS You keep watching what you already watch. YouTube videos and music in English, with high quality captions, translation and karaoke colouring. Every word from what you watched lands in your vocabulary. All of them, not a list somebody else picked. Your cards come from your own words. The algorithm picks the word that appeared most in what you watched, writes a sentence with it and says it out loud. You move the word up the ladder. And you watch the colour change inside the video.

THE TOOLS Shadowing and dictation: repeat over the original audio and write what you heard. Journal: write or record your day. The AI corrects it, shows the better version and explains the difference. Theme sentences: type a subject and the program builds the cards. Community: a feed and messages with other students on the same ladder. Progress: words known, how many are left to your goal, and the pace to get there. Reminders: a nudge on the day you were going to skip.
