Grace Before: Pray to Unlock

Pray before you scroll.

Grace Before pauses the apps you choose at your prayer times. Begin with a short prayer and a passage of Scripture, tap Amen, and your apps open again.

Grace Before is a subscription app. Eligible new subscribers begin with a 3-day free trial. The details are at the end of this description.

HOW IT WORKS • Choose the apps that pull you away, in Apple's own app picker. • Set your prayer times: once a day or several, on the days you choose. • At those times your chosen apps pause. Open one and you're invited to pray first. • Open Grace Before, ask for your prayer, read it and tap Amen. Your apps open again until your next prayer time.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY • Begin with a quick check-in: how you feel, what you'd like to pray about, and a few words of your own if you wish. • Receive a short prayer written for that check-in, about a minute to read. • Every prayer comes with a passage quoted from the World English Bible. • Your subscription also includes general prayers with Scripture, without sending your check-in to AI services.

GENTLE, NOT HARSH • No timer. Pray at your own pace and say Amen when you're finished. • Need an app urgently? "I need access now" opens your apps for five minutes. • Lock now starts a pause whenever you'd like one. • Release all apps turns your pauses off at any time. • Optional reminders at your prayer times. • No ads.

A QUIET HABIT • Every prayer you finish is saved in your prayer history, on your iPhone. • A simple streak, your week at a glance and a month calendar. • Three reading sizes for comfortable reading.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up and no email address. • Your saved prayers and history are stored only on your iPhone, and the apps you choose are known only to your iPhone. • No advertising and no tracking. • Personalized prayers are written by AI services outside Grace Before, so today's mood, topic and any words you add are sent to them to write your prayer. They are off until you turn them on, and you can switch back to general prayers at any time. • Scripture is always quoted, never written by AI.

GOOD TO KNOW • Grace Before is broadly Christian and isn't tied to one denomination. • Prayer pauses use Apple's Screen Time, with your permission, on your own iPhone. • Your prayer history is saved only on this iPhone. There is no cloud backup, so it doesn't move to a new phone. • Each subscription includes up to 20 personalized prayers a day. • AI can make mistakes. Please read each prayer with your own judgment. • Grace Before is not pastoral, medical or crisis care. • For iPhone, in English.

SUBSCRIPTION Using Grace Before needs an active subscription: weekly or yearly. Both plans include everything in the app. Eligible new subscribers get 3 days free. Apple decides who is eligible, and the app offers the trial only when Apple confirms it. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it in iPhone Settings, under your name, in Subscriptions. Prayer pauses stop when a subscription ends.
