Grassy Knees helps you find real places and real events for your family: things you go to in person. Pick your metro, see what’s on this weekend, and get out the door.
THIS WEEKEND, FIRST Explore opens on what’s happening this Saturday and Sunday near you, in your metro’s local time. Then browse everything else: dated events, classes and programs, and family places you can visit any day.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT Filter by day (this weekend, this week, the next 30 days), by age from babies to teens, by price (free, paid, or with admission) and by type. Browse by interest (outdoors, arts and crafts, STEM and discovery, sports and play, community, cooking) or search. Switch to the map to see what’s nearby.
KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM Researched listings link to the organizer’s official pages and show the date the details were checked. When some details still need confirming, the listing says so. Listings supplied by their hosts are marked as community listings. If a listing has no photo of its own, it shows a category image and says so.
MAKE A LITTLE PLAN Add an event to your calendar, get directions in Apple Maps, call or email the organizer when a public contact is listed, or share the listing with whoever is coming along.
SAVE WHAT YOU LIKE Save listings without an account; they stay on this iPhone. Sign in with Apple or with email to keep your saves and recently viewed list in sync with grassyknees.com.
HEAR FROM OTHER FAMILIES Organizer pages gather community ratings and reviews across all of that organizer’s activities. Signed-in members can leave one rating per organizer, and edit or withdraw it anytime.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN The This Weekend widget comes in small, medium and large sizes for the Home Screen, plus a Lock Screen size, for the metro you choose. Listings you open appear in Spotlight, and you can ask Siri to “Show this weekend in Grassy Knees.” Dark Mode and larger text sizes are supported throughout.
PRIVACY, PLAINLY No account is needed to explore. If you share your location, it stays on this iPhone. It is used only to pick your nearest metro and measure straight-line distances, and it is never sent to our servers. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics. You can delete your account, and everything stored with it, from the You tab.
METROS New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and more, each including its surrounding communities.
