Mass Halal

Mass Halal brings the Mass Halal Journal and Mass Halal Directory (masshalal.com) to your iPhone: halal food, masjids, community news and events across Massachusetts, plus daily prayer times.

JOURNAL Read local stories about everyday Muslim life in Massachusetts: new halal restaurants, community news, events and more. The latest articles are saved on your phone so you can open the Journal even without a connection.

DIRECTORY Browse halal restaurants, halal markets and groceries, and mosques and Islamic centers across the state. Search by name, town, cuisine or dish, or filter by town. Each listing shows the address, phone number, a map and the halal status as reported by its source. Tap to call or get directions in Apple Maps.

FAVORITES Tap the heart on any place to save it. Your favorites sit at the top of the Directory and are stored only on your device.

EVENTS See upcoming halal food festivals, potlucks, family gatherings and community events, with dates, times, locations and organizer details. Add an event to your calendar or get directions in one tap.

PRAYER TIMES AND REMINDERS See today's prayer times for Boston and other Massachusetts cities, with a countdown to the next prayer. Turn on optional reminders for any of the five daily prayers, at prayer time or a few minutes before. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone.

QIBLA DIRECTION See the Qibla bearing from your chosen city, in degrees and compass direction. No location access is needed.

PRIVACY No account and no sign-up. The app doesn't collect personal data. Favorites and settings stay on your device.

Please note: prayer times are calculated with the ISNA method and may differ from your local masjid's schedule. Confirm prayer and iqama times with your masjid. Halal status is labeled by source; confirm details directly with each business.
