Nilad: Document Organiser

Find your paperwork, not just its filename.

Nilad is a private document organiser for Mac. Bring PDFs, scanned receipts, bills, invoices, letters and warranties into one searchable library. Drop documents into the app, onto its menu-bar icon, or onto the notch on supported Macs. Find them later by their contents, party, date, or type.

READ AND ORGANISE Read text from PDFs and images with on-device OCR. When Apple Intelligence is available, Nilad can suggest document types and extract useful details. Review the results, correct fields, add notes, and organise documents with tags and saved searches.

FIND WHAT YOU NEED Search document text, browse by type or party, and combine filters. Switch between a list and a visual grid. Use Quick Find from the menu bar or with Command-Shift-Space, and open documents in their own preview windows.

KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR FILES Choose whether new documents move into your archive or stay in their original locations using index-in-place. Export files and metadata whenever you need them. Reading, searching, and exporting remain available without a purchase.

PROCESS DOCUMENTS LOCALLY Document processing runs on your Mac. Nilad does not upload your documents or extracted text to a document server. Apple handles purchases and subscriptions through the App Store.

START WITH 25 DOCUMENTS Try Nilad with up to 25 documents. A monthly or annual subscription unlocks unlimited intake while active. A one-time Lifetime purchase unlocks unlimited intake without a subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple account settings.

Requires macOS 26 or later and an Apple Silicon Mac. Apple Intelligence must be enabled and available for model-assisted classification and field extraction. OCR and search remain available without it; documents may need manual review. Supported reading formats include PDF, common images, and plain text. Export Pages and other package documents as PDFs before adding them.
