Origin: Fire Investigation

Origin is a field tool for fire investigators. It guides you through the scene systematically and turns what you capture into a complete, structured report.

CAPTURE THE SCENE • Photograph evidence as you log it, with automatic per-item numbering • Full-screen photo viewer with zoom, labels and notes • Illustrated pickers for roof shape, wall construction, doors, windows and vehicle body style • Sections adapt to the incident type, so a vehicle fire isn't asked about roof pitch

DRAW THE PREMISES • Scan rooms with LiDAR on supported devices and edit the drafts • Floor plan editor with wall snapping, a 0.1 m grid, and doors and windows with hinge and swing • Place, drag, rotate and resize architectural symbols

RECORD WHAT YOU HEAR • Dictate scene notes and witness statements • Transcription happens on your device, and you review every transcript before it joins the record

WEATHER FOR THE INCIDENT • Retrieve conditions for the incident's location, date and hour • Add your own Visual Crossing key for measured station observations

STRUCTURED ANALYSIS • Work through cause hypotheses, with a written rationale required for each • Optional AI assistance using the provider of your choice

PROFESSIONAL REPORTS • Export a PDF with appendices: captioned photo plates, premises plan, risk assessment, evidence log with packaging and seals, and statements
