Point your camera at a page. Scan Darling finds the edges, waits for your hands to settle, and snaps it for you. It straightens the page, lifts the shadows and reads the words on your phone. Scanning and text recognition work offline, with no account or ads.

SCAN, EDIT AND ORGANIZE • Automatic or manual capture, with Original, Color, Gray and B&W looks • Read English and Chinese text and make searchable PDFs from your scans • Bring in photos, pictures and PDFs from Photos or Files • Reorder, rotate, remove and add pages; adjust corners and looks on scanned pages • Add pen marks, highlights, text and handwritten signatures to supported pages • Merge documents into a new PDF, with the originals kept by default • Find documents by title and the text in them • Restore deleted documents from Recently Deleted for up to 30 days; unchanged samples are deleted permanently

SHARE AND PRINT • Share a PDF, separate page images, plain text, or a long image of up to 15 pages • Make color or gray scanned photos smaller for a PDF share; other pages keep their detail • Add a one-time password to a supported PDF copy. The app does not keep the password and cannot recover it • Print through the iPhone's system print panel

ID COPIES • Put an ID card's front and back, or one passport page, onto A4 at the document's actual dimensions • Add a purpose watermark before saving • ID copies are not read for text recognition; their Library thumbnails are blurred

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, ads or tracking. Document processing stays on your device; your library is not uploaded to us • Optional App lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode on open and after more than a minute away • App lock protects entry to this app. Documents remain visible in Files, and iPhone backups may include them • Turn on Airplane Mode: scanning, text recognition, PDFs, search and saving still work • Cloud-backed imports, sharing, printing, websites and support messages use the services you choose; those services may need a connection

GOOD TO KNOW • The interface follows your iPhone's language: English or Simplified Chinese • Text recognition supports English and Chinese, Simplified and Traditional. Imported PDFs use their existing text when available • Two sample scans introduce the app on first launch; delete them whenever you like and they will not come back • No subscriptions or in-app purchases.
