Sweep Clean

Sweep Clean shows you what fills your Mac's storage and helps you clear out what you no longer need — calmly, safely and entirely on your Mac.

SCAN, REVIEW, SWEEP Smart Scan looks through caches, logs, temporary files, old installers, app leftovers and developer data, then shows what it found with a size and a plain explanation for every item. Each item has one of four safety levels — Safe, Review, Important or Protected — and only Safe items are selected for you. Nothing is removed until you confirm, items are moved to the Trash, and you can undo a sweep from its summary.

WHAT SWEEP CLEAN LOOKS AT • Cleaner – app caches, logs, temporary files and other data that apps recreate when needed • Applications – app sizes and when you last used them; remove an app together with its support files, or clear leftovers of apps you already deleted • Large & Old Files, Desktop & Downloads – big, old and forgotten files, including installers you have already used • Duplicates – identical files, found by comparing their contents • Developer – Xcode DerivedData, archives, simulators, package manager caches and other developer tools, each with an explanation. For tools that manage their own data, Sweep Clean shows the size and the command to run yourself. • Cloud Storage – how much space iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive files take up on this Mac • Storage – an interactive map of your Home folder and startup disk • Performance – CPU, memory, disk and network activity, login items and background items at a glance • Privacy – browsing history and cookies, browser by browser • Ask Sweep – questions about your Mac's storage, answered from your own scan results • Menu bar – free space, a quick scan and Quick Sweep one click away

SAFE BY DESIGN Sweep Clean does not touch system files, documents, photos, passwords, keychains, SSH keys, source code repositories or files that are stored only in the cloud. You can exclude folders, drives and apps, and every sweep is listed in Scan History.

FOLDER ACCESS Sweep Clean runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It asks you to choose your Home folder — and, if you want to remove apps, your Applications folder — using the standard macOS Open panel. Sweep Clean only works inside the folders you allow, and you can remove access at any time in Settings.

PRIVATE Everything happens on your Mac. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking. Sweep Clean does not upload your files, file names or scan results anywhere.

SWEEP CLEAN PRO Free: scan everything, sweep Safe caches, logs, browser caches and the Trash, and move any file you pick to the Trash — with Undo. Pro is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Restore Purchases is available on the upgrade screen and in Settings.
