Tobari Quiet: Dark Mode Safari

Loud colors, busy decoration, images that jump out at you. Tobari Quiet draws a curtain over pages like these and gives Safari on iPhone and iPad a calmer look. It tones down colors, spacing, and decoration, and either hides images and video or shows them with softer color. Links, forms, and menus keep working as usual.

The look follows your device. In Dark Mode, pages turn dark and muted; in Light Mode, they stay bright with softer colors. You can also lock it to Light or Dark.

Pick one of three presets: • Wind Down: keep light and color low before bed • Low Key: softens loud colors and decoration • Keep Private: hides images that get in the way. Tap a hidden image to show it right where it is

Choose how much to change: “Whole page,” “Colors and images only,” or “Images only.” If another extension already changes colors for you, “Images only” works well alongside it. Turn Tobari Quiet off, or choose “Disable on this site,” to restore the original look.

To get started, open Tobari Quiet and tap “Open Safari extension settings.” Turn the extension on in Settings and allow access to the websites you want to use it with. If the button does not open Settings, go to Settings app > Apps > Safari > Extensions (on some OS versions: Settings > Safari > Extensions).

Tobari Quiet works only on http:// and https:// pages you have allowed. It does not apply to special pages such as settings screens, or inside a page embedded in another page (an iframe). If it cannot finish starting within a few seconds, the page returns to its original look.

The extension sends no data anywhere. Settings stay on your device, and the page’s own network requests are left untouched. It works alongside ad blockers. One-time purchase of JPY 500 in Japan, with no in-app purchases and no subscription.
