Kort fortalt
Acolo: Point Me There is an education app that turns an iPhone or Apple Watch into a compass for celestial bodies, constellations, and any place on Earth. It suits anyone curious about where the Sun, Moon, planets, or stars lie from their location. A standout feature is the 3D arrow that points toward a target even when it is behind you or below the horizon.

Acolo turns your iPhone and Apple Watch into a compass for the sky and the Earth beneath your feet.
Choose the Sun, Moon, a planet, a bright star, a constellation, Earth's Center, or any place on Earth. A translucent 3D arrow points toward your target even when it is behind you or below the horizon. For a faraway place, it points along the direct path through the Earth.
FOLLOW THE ARROW
Turn toward your target with clear hints like “Turn right” and “Tilt up.” When pointing with the back of your phone, an edge glow guides you if the target is off-screen. Gentle haptic pulses get faster as you line up and continue while you are pointing at it.
EXPLORE THE UNIVERSE
Point at the Sun, Moon, all the planets and Pluto, 20 well-known stars such as Sirius, Polaris, and Betelgeuse, the center of our galaxy, and 40 constellations drawn with their real star patterns. Each list shows a live arrow for every target, when it is visible from where you are, and which ones you have already found.
POINT TO ANY PLACE ON EARTH
Search for a place or address, tap the map to drop a pin, or pin the map's center. Save as many places as you like, rename them, and pin your favorites to the top.
STAND ANYWHERE
Point from somewhere else: another city, Earth's Center, the Moon, Mars, or even a distant star. See where Jupiter is from Mars, or where the Sun is from Sirius.
EXPLORE THE DISTANCE
See how far away your target is and how long it would take to get there, from walking to the speed of light. See how many degrees it sits above or below the horizon, and a compass dial shows which way is north.
