Covenant Lite is an AI-governance desktop app for individuals. Before anything reaches a cloud AI, it checks on your own Mac whether the text contains personal information, API keys, or the terms you have defined. The check is literal, fast and simple.

▼ What it does - Detects personal information (phone numbers, email addresses, credit card numbers, national ID numbers and more) and API keys before you send - Lets you choose what happens on detection: block, mask before sending, or process with a local AI - Lets you register your own terms (client names, project names, internal code names) as "banned terms"; each is checked the same way, and you choose per term whether to stop or to mask - Completes every check on your own Mac. Your text is not sent to our servers

▼ In the browser too Add the "Covenant Bridge" extension and sends to AI chat sites in your browser are checked against the same policies before they are sent (supported sites are listed in Help). The check is done by Covenant Lite on your Mac; the text is not sent outside your Mac for the check. Registration is a one-time step in Settings > "Browser bridge".

▼ A record that is yours Alongside counts of what was sent, stopped and masked, the audit report puts one number up front: inputs sent without matching any policy. A zero means nothing that matched what you named got out.

▼ What Covenant Lite checks - and what it does not Lite checks what matches your policies, personal information and API keys. Anything you have not given a form - the context of a contract, a company name written differently, confidential matters you could not fully write down - is outside its scope. For that, there is Covenant Personal. Conversations and policies you build in Lite carry over to Personal as they are.

▼ Requirements - macOS 13 (Ventura) or later (Apple Silicon) - To use cloud AI, bring your own API key for each provider. No response is returned until one is registered - A local AI is not required. If you already run Ollama or LM Studio, you can set it as the destination after the check

▼ Language and support - Application interface: English and Japanese. - End User License Agreement: provided in English and Japanese. The Japanese version is the controlling original; in case of any discrepancy, the Japanese version controls (Article 16, Section 4). - In-app help: English and Japanese. - Customer support is provided in English, by email (cov-support@exapolicy.co.jp).

▼ Disclosures - The app checks by the policies you write, but does not guarantee the result. The final decision is yours. - It does not judge context and does not use AI to evaluate. It checks as written. - Moving the app to the Trash does not remove the data folder (conversations, audit log, policies, settings). To remove it completely, delete the data folder shown under Settings > "Environment". To keep your data, use Settings > "Export your data".

▼ Purchase - Covenant Lite is a paid app with a one-time payment. There is no license registration step; it is ready to use once purchased. - Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
