Darts501 keeps score for your darts games, and shows you where your darts land.

THE GAMES • X01 — 101 to 1501, or any score from 21; straight, double, treble or master in and out, with the suggested checkout whenever one is on. • Cricket — standard, cut-throat, no-score, and Tactics from 10 to 20. • Halve It, Killer, Shanghai, Gotcha, High Score and Sudden Death, for nights with a crowd. • Matches in legs and sets, with alternating throw and handicap by points.

ENTERING DARTS Tap the board where the dart landed, or key in the segment on the number pad. Fix a dart with one gesture, and undo the last one.

PRACTICE Twelve drills to work on what loses you legs: accuracy (Round the Clock, Round the Clock: Trebles, Shanghai, 99 darts at T20), doubles and checkouts (Round the Clock: Doubles, Bob's 27, 121, Catch 40, random checkouts), and full routines to take stock. Every drill names its target, and tells you which way you miss.

STATISTICS Three-dart average, First 9, checkout percentage, success on every double, legs held and broken — and a heatmap of your hits, with your grouping around each target you aimed at.

FOR EVERYONE Readable from the oche, with the device on a stand facing the board, in portrait or landscape, on iPhone and iPad. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion are supported.
