A widget on your Home Screen that is also your notepad.

Pin one card and you can read it without opening the app. The shopping list, this week's plan, the measurements of a room, what to pack for a trip. It sits where you already look, so it doesn't get buried.

■ One card holds all of it ・Checklists, bullets, dashes, numbers, quotes ・Tables (column widths, cell colors, and text size per cell) ・Handwriting (draw straight onto a photo) ・Photos and video ・Links, with a title and a preview image ・Recordings ・Files and PDFs

■ Formatting that works the way you expect Title, heading, subheading, body, monospaced. Highlighter in your choice of color, text color and size, typeface, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough. Indents and alignment. Long notes stay readable.

■ Twelve paper colors Twelve colors from white to black, chosen per card. Line up a few widgets and you can tell them apart before you read a word.

■ Write in two columns Split a card left and right to keep two things side by side. It lands neatly when the widget is large.

■ iPhone, iPad and Mac The same app runs on the Mac, and widgets go on the desktop, so a card stays visible while you work. Sign in and the same cards show up on every device on that account. Without signing in, cards stay on the device and go nowhere else.

■ Keeping it tidy Folders, pinning and search. Deleted cards wait in the Trash, so a mistake is easy to undo. Export a card as a PDF to print it, or send it to another app from the share sheet. Anything shared from another app can come back in as a card, and Markdown files import too.
