Flackbird

Flackbird is a minimalist music player for the music files you already own. Point it at a folder and it becomes your library: no account, no subscription, no streaming, and no internet connection needed.

YOUR FILES, YOUR WAY • Plays FLAC, ALAC, MP3, AAC/M4A, WAV, and AIFF • Every subfolder becomes a playlist • Albums and artists are built from your files' own tags and embedded cover art • Duplicate copies of a song are merged, preferring the FLAC • Search that ignores accents and punctuation, so "beyonce" finds "Beyoncé"

MADE FOR LISTENING • Shows each file's format, bit depth, sample rate, and bitrate, such as FLAC · 24-bit / 96 kHz • A subtle live frequency visualiser behind the controls • Shuffle, repeat all, and repeat one • Picks up where you left off, even after the app is closed • Keeps playing in the background, with lock screen and Control Center controls • AirPlay and Bluetooth

SIRI AND SHORTCUTS Say "Play Road Trip in Flackbird" or "Shuffle my library in Flackbird" to play a folder, album, or artist, and turn shuffle or repeat on or off by voice. The same actions are available in the Shortcuts app.

ON IPHONE, IPAD, AND MAC Add music through the Files app, Finder file sharing, or any folder you choose. Light and dark appearance included.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Flackbird makes no network connections and collects no data. No analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party code. Your music never leaves your device.
