Freelance Hours: Time Tracker

Freelance Hours is a native Mac time tracker for freelancers and independent contractors. Start a timer from the menu bar, and at the end of the month you know exactly how many hours you worked, for which client, and what they are worth.

MENU BAR TIMER • Start and stop with one click, without opening the main window. • The running time stays visible in the menu bar. • Reminders when a timer runs too long and on days with nothing logged. Turn them off anytime in Settings.

CLIENTS, PROJECTS AND HOURLY RATES • Group projects under clients, each with its own hourly rate in USD, EUR or PLN. • The value of every entry is calculated for you. • Find any project by project or client name.

YOUR DAY AND YOUR TIME ENTRIES • A day timeline shows what you worked on and what it earned. • Add entries manually, fix them in the inspector, or split one entry in two. • Day, week and month views with total hours and amounts. • Log time from Shortcuts.

MONTHLY REPORTS • Hours and billable amounts by client and project. • Insights from your history: top client, change versus the previous period, unusual days, entries without notes, longest sessions. • Insights are calculated on your Mac from simple rules. No AI, nothing leaves your device. • Export to CSV for spreadsheets or your accountant.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-in. • Your data is stored only on your Mac. No activity tracking, no analytics. • Light and dark mode. English, Polish, Spanish and German.

PRO The free version includes one active project and unlimited time entries. PRO adds: • unlimited projects and clients, • a monthly PDF report ready to send to clients, • backup of all your data to a file, and restore from it (keep the file anywhere, for example in iCloud Drive).

Get PRO with a one-time purchase (lifetime access) or a monthly subscription with a 7-day free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
