A small paid app for English-speaking intermediate learners (about B1–B2) who meet this tense in novels and history texts and want concentrated work on two problems: how to form it, and when French uses it instead of the passé composé.

This is not a beginner French course, not a DELF programme, and not a general past-tenses app.

LEARN Short lessons on formation — regular -er, -ir and -re endings, être and avoir, and the usual irregulars (faire, venir, voir, prendre, pouvoir, vouloir, savoir) — and on usage: literary and historical narrative versus spoken passé composé, and why the imparfait still does the background work.
