Keyward, API Key Proxy is a macOS menu bar utility that runs a local proxy for AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini. It gives each tool its own virtual key, keeps the real provider keys in the Keychain, and tracks tokens, estimated costs and monthly budgets per key. Keyward is a local proxy for AI APIs in your menu bar. Instead of pasting your real OpenAI, Anthropic or Google API keys into every tool, each app gets its own virtual key. Keyward swaps it for the real key on your Mac and forwards the request to the provider unchanged.
