Vakit: Salah Times & Adhan

Vakit calculates prayer times for wherever you are and lets you know with the adhan when each prayer time begins. No account is needed: times are calculated on your phone, without an internet connection, using the method recommended for your country.

PRAYER TIMES • Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha on one screen, with a countdown to the next prayer • Your location is found automatically, or you choose your city yourself; when you travel to another city, the times update as soon as you open the app • 12 calculation methods, including Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, ISNA, Moonsighting Committee, Karachi and Diyanet • Standard or Hanafi Asr, and minute adjustments to match your local mosque • In northern countries such as the UK, a high-latitude adjustment turns on automatically during short summer nights

ADHAN NOTIFICATIONS • A notification with the adhan when each prayer time begins: classic adhan (first 30 seconds in the notification, in full in the app), short adhan, soft tone, iPhone sound or silent • Optional reminder 10, 15, 30 or 45 minutes before • Friday prayer reminder and a suhoor wake-up during Ramadan • Time-sensitive notifications: the adhan notification also comes through in Focus modes you allow

QIBLA • Qibla direction with a compass and a map, plus the distance to the Kaaba • "Qibla time": the moment the sun is exactly in the direction of the Qibla

CALENDAR, HOLY DAYS AND RAMADAN • Holy nights, Eids and special days following your region's tradition; see how many days are left and get reminded in advance • Hijri date, moon phase and length of the day • Ramadan timetable and monthly prayer timetable

YOUR DAY AT A GLANCE • Cards for the next makruh time, Qibla time, Friday prayer, dhikr, the next holy night and a daily Name of Allah • Prayer tracking: mark the prayers you have performed and keep track of missed (qada) prayers

DHIKR COUNTER • Tasbih after prayer and ready-made dhikr; you can also add your own dhikr and target • Focus mode: just the counter, and the screen stays on • The counter always continues where you left off
