Azan Way is a prayer times app for iPhone and iPad that calculates times on the device, so no internet connection is needed. It includes a Qibla compass, optional reminders, and a Today screen that draws the day as the path of the sun with a countdown to the next prayer. Its standout feature is that it has no ads, no accounts, and no tracking, and settings stay on the device.

Azan Way shows the prayer times for where you are and counts down to the next one. It also has a Qibla compass.
The app calculates prayer times on your device from astronomical formulas, so you don't need an internet connection. There are 12 calculation methods: Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, University of Islamic Sciences (Karachi), Umm al-Qura, Dubai, Moonsighting Committee, ISNA, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, Tehran and Turkey. For Asr you can choose Shafi'i or Hanafi. If your mosque's timetable differs by a few minutes, you can adjust any prayer by up to an hour.
The Today screen draws the day as the path of the sun. Dhuhr sits at the top of the arc, sunrise and Maghrib on the horizon, Fajr and Isha just beyond them. A small marker shows the current time, and a countdown tells you how long is left until the next prayer. You can look up to 30 days ahead or back.
The Qibla compass turns with your phone so north stays north, and a needle points towards the Kaaba. On iPhone you feel a light tap when you are facing it. On iPad it works in any orientation. The compass needs location access to find true north. Without it, or on a device with no compass, the app still shows the Qibla bearing in degrees.
Reminders are optional. For each prayer you can have a reminder at the time or 10 minutes before, and there is a sunrise reminder for the end of Fajr. The app sends reminders as Time Sensitive notifications, so a Focus or Scheduled Summary doesn't delay them; you can turn this off in iOS Settings. Reminders use the standard iOS notification sound. The app does not play the adhan.
You can use your current location or search for a city. If you'd rather not share your location, pick a city and prayer times and reminders work the same way.
No account, no ads, no tracking. Your settings stay on your device. City search uses Apple's location service and needs an internet connection.
Azan Way is available in English, Italian and Arabic, on iPhone and iPad, in light and dark mode.
