Hallo Buddy

Hallo Buddy is the app for family and carers of an older person with a Buddy at home. Buddy is a talking companion on a tablet: it talks, listens and helps, just by voice. With this app you set up Buddy from a distance and stay involved, even when you don't live nearby.

What you can do with Hallo Buddy • See the day at a glance: appointments, reminders and whether Buddy is online • Add or change appointments and reminders, for example a visit to the GP or taking medication. Buddy reads them out at the right time. • Call and video call Buddy, straight from the app • Take a photo that appears in the photo album on Buddy's screen right away • Manage contacts: the people Buddy can call or text, and the emergency contacts • Receive alerts, for example about a missed call or when Buddy is not on the charger • Add your own instructions for Buddy to read out, such as how the washing machine works • Work together with other family members and carers, each with their own account and permissions

Safe and private • Lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID • Alerts that could contain sensitive information show only a neutral line on the lock screen • You delete your account yourself, from the app

Reminders, including medication reminders, are set by family members or carers themselves; the app gives no medical advice. A reminder is a memory aid and does not replace care or supervision.
