Kanunsai

Kanunsai – Digital Sound Deck Bring the physical feeling of music playback back to your Mac.

Kanunsai is a premium virtual hardware deck for your desktop, meticulously crafted for those who celebrate music. Inspired by the heavy Hi-Fi decks of the analogue golden era, Kanunsai combines a photorealistic mechanical interface with an uncompromising, professional audio engine.

The Visual Experience: Four Exclusive Hardware Skins The rigid, non-scalable window layout ensures that every curve, label, and mechanical detail remains pixel-perfect. Choose from four striking color schemes to match your setup:

* Lao Green: A deep, organic green that radiates absolute calm and focus. * Esprit Amber: The classic, warm amber glow of analogue tubes and vintage VU meters. * Class-A Blue: A cool, precise studio blue for a modern high-end laboratory look. * Dragon White: A radically elegant white that crisply accentuates every mechanical detail.

The front panel features a high-resolution LED display with a 100-segment peak-meter per channel, true peak-hold indicators, and precisely calculated latency compensation for all output paths (including Bluetooth/AirPlay).

Folder-Based Library & Booklet Viewer: Bring Album Art to Life Kanunsai brings the tactile experience of browsing through a physical album back to the digital domain.

* Stable Folder-Based Browsing: Instead of relying on fragile ID3 tags, Kanunsai mirrors your real Finder folder structure. This gives you the same reliable order as a well-organized vinyl shelf without the risk of broken metadata. * Custom Booklets and Liner Notes: The integrated booklet viewer automatically scans your album folders for image files and PDFs. Simply drop your scanned booklets, lyrics sheets, or liner notes into the folder to display them beautifully on screen. * Asynchronous Background Loading: The viewer seamlessly caches graphics in the background. This allows you to flip through artwork and multi-page booklets instantly without ever interrupting playback.

The Audio Engine: Radically Puristic and Click-Free Beneath the chassis runs a sophisticated dual-player architecture (AVAudioEngine), optimized for gapless playback and smooth crossfades with two innovative DSP features:

* Puristic Source Mode: Disables all internal DSP and volume normalization, providing a clean, unaltered signal to your DAC through the standard macOS audio path (no exclusive/hog mode) without interfering with other system audio. * Click-Free Subsonic Filter: Eliminates low-end rumble below 20 Hz. When turning the filter off, the frequency glides over a smooth 200 ms linear ramp down into the unhearable 1 Hz range, ensuring a phase-linear transition completely free of digital clicks. * Dub Echo (Delay): A defined rhythmic delay with adjustable feedback that automatically calculates its timing from the BPM values of your tracks, adding subtle spatial depth.

An Honest Product: No Subscriptions, Total Privacy Kanunsai is a statement for sustainability and honest software craftsmanship.

* One-Time Purchase: No hidden costs, no monthly fees, no subscription traps. * 100% Local and Private: The app collects no data, does not track your habits, and requires no cloud connection. Your collection remains protected within the strict macOS app sandbox.
