Metsästäjätutkinto: Hunting

Prepare for the Finnish hunter's exam (metsästäjätutkinto / jägarexamen): 387 practice questions in six topics with an explanation for every answer, 67 species cards with our own drawings and a mock exam in the exam's order. One-time purchase, no subscription. The app is in Finnish and Swedish, the two languages of the exam.

WHAT'S INSIDE • 387 questions: game species and identification, hunting law and seasons, firearms and safety (including hunting methods and equipment), hunting ethics, game management and handling the bag • An explanation for every answer • Species identification from pictures: 67 game and protected species, including look-alike pairs • Mock exam in the exam's order: 15 species-identification questions first (15 min), then 45 questions; 60 questions and 90 minutes in all, pass with at most 8 mistakes • Results by topic and a tip for your weakest area • Mistakes: wrong answers and mixed-up species come back until you get them right twice in a row • Species cards: identification, look-alikes, hunting season and habitat; search in Finnish, Swedish or Latin • Hunting seasons table with sources

HOW IT WORKS The hunting ethics topic can be used without buying. One purchase unlocks all topics, mock exams and species cards. Works offline, no account, no ads. The app sends anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off in Settings.

The app is independent and not affiliated with the Finnish Wildlife Agency (Suomen riistakeskus). Questions and pictures are our own, not official exam questions. Hunting seasons change by decree: check the current rules before you go hunting.
