GET TO KNOW EACH SIGN Start with 24 single-consonant signs, then browse the wider reference by category. Open a sign to see its reading, Gardiner code and available background. Compare its appearance in the included fonts.

TYPE SIGNS IN OTHER APPS Add the Hiero Pro keyboard in Settings, then use it in Notes, Messages and other apps that support custom keyboards. Choose a sign or find it by code. Its appearance can vary with the receiving app's font support.

PRACTICE A LITTLE EACH DAY Practice sign recognition, sounds, reading direction and sign codes. Review your answers and return to your practice history.

LOOK UP WORDS AND WRITE SIGNS Use Meaning to find dictionary entries and explore possible readings of a sign sequence. Use Sounds for approximate modern-name spellings, or Codes to enter Gardiner codes. These tools help you work with signs and recorded words; they do not translate English sentences into ancient Egyptian.

SAVE AND SHARE Copy hieroglyphs, share a sign card and return to saved conversions in History. Saved dictionary readings keep the word you selected and its source.
