ScrollUtils for Safari

ScrollUtils adds two things to Safari for people who use a mouse.

Middle-click scrolling Hold the middle mouse button and move the mouse to scroll. The further you move from where you clicked, the faster the page scrolls, in any direction, including sideways and diagonally. Let go and it stops. Middle-clicking a link still opens it in a new tab as usual. If you click inside a scrollable part of a page, that part scrolls.

Zoom with the scroll wheel Hold ⌘ and use the scroll wheel to zoom the page, like Ctrl and the scroll wheel on Windows. It uses Safari's own zoom steps, so Safari remembers the zoom per site. ⌘ and a middle-click return the page to actual size. You can use ⌥ instead of ⌘.

Settings Click the ScrollUtils button in Safari's toolbar to change the scroll speed, the dead zone around the starting point, sideways scrolling, the starting-point marker, the zoom key and the zoom speed, or to turn zoom off.

Privacy ScrollUtils works entirely on your Mac. It doesn't collect, store or send browsing data, has no account and no analytics, and never connects to the internet. It needs permission to run on websites because scrolling and zoom work on any page. You can limit which sites in Safari's settings.

Requires a mouse with a middle button (a clickable scroll wheel) for middle-click scrolling. For Safari on macOS.
