AN INBOX FOR NEW FILES Every new file shows up with a suggested destination: screenshots into Screenshots, invoices into Finance, installers into Installers. Nothing moves until you say so. Change any suggestion with a click, or leave a file where it is.

ONE CLICK. FULLY UNDOABLE. Sort everything at once. Every change is recorded before it happens, so you can undo it with ⌘Z, or from History at any time, even after a restart. If a name is already taken, Sort Smith picks a new name instead of overwriting.

RULES IN PLAIN ENGLISH Type "move installers older than 30 days to trash" and Sort Smith turns it into a rule you can read and check before switching it on. After you sort a few files by hand, it offers to make the pattern automatic.

RECLAIM SPACE SAFELY Find true duplicates by comparing file contents, not just names. Spot huge files, year-old leftovers and stale installers. Anything you remove goes to a Sort Smith Trash inside the same folder for 30 days, so it's always undoable.

CAREFUL BY DESIGN • Only touches files directly inside the folders you pick. Folders you've already organized are left alone. • Skips downloads that are still in progress and iCloud files that aren't on your Mac yet. • Keeps working through restarts, crashes and moved folders. An interrupted change is recovered the next time the app opens.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No analytics. No tracking. Your files, folder names and rules never leave your Mac. The only network connection is the one that checks your purchase. On Macs with Apple Intelligence, smart suggestions come from Apple's on-device model; without it, Sort Smith's built-in logic does the job.

FREE AND PRO Sort Smith is free to download. The free version organizes one folder, keeps three rules, gives you 150 smart suggestions a month and shows the first 25 duplicate groups. Folders are checked when you open the app.

Prices are in US dollars and vary by country. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
