FSX-SFEdge

FSX-SFEdge is an application designed for personal expense tracking and benchmarking. It features five distinct sections: a high-level overview, daily transaction logging, benchmark establishment, trend tracking, and monthly reviews. Users can manually record income, expenses, and refunds, while independently assigning categories, accounts, and transaction types. Benchmarks are generated based on completed historical months, providing data on medians, averages, and actual ranges. Category contributions are calculated using a consistent averaging methodology, with the ability to drill down into specific transactions. For the current, ongoing month, comparisons are made based on the number of days elapsed, ensuring accuracy regardless of varying month lengths. The app preserves snapshots of saved benchmarks and reviews, and alerts users to any changes if underlying transactions are subsequently modified. Additional features include bulk tagging, advanced search and filtering, local data backups, spreadsheet import/export, and an optional passcode lock—ensuring that every financial change is traceable and every review is securely preserved.
