Kids Calculator - StoryCalc

Description

StoryCalc is a calculator that shows its working. Type in an addition or subtraction, and instead of just giving the answer, the scene acts out the sum.

Start with 3 and the scene builds 3 things. Add 2 more and 2 more arrive, in a different colour so you can see them. Take some away and they go. Press = and everything celebrates the answer. A line of text under the scene tells the story in words: "First there were 3 floors. Then 2 more are built. Now there are 5 floors."

HOW IT WORKS • Type numbers with + and − just like a normal calculator • The part of the equation being acted out is highlighted as it happens • Tap replay at any time to watch the whole story again • Big, clear buttons that press down when you tap them

THEMES Every theme has its own scene and its own way of counting: • Tower (free): floors are built up, and a princess pops up to greet the finished tower while a knight walks in to guard it • Birds: land on a branch • Flowers: grow in the garden • Fish: swim in from the side • Apples: grow on the tree and drop when taken away • Cars: drive on and off a road • Blobs: drop in from above and pop when removed

Tower is free for good. Unlock all the other themes with a single one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads.

GOOD FOR • Children learning to add and subtract • Parents and teachers who want to show what a number sentence means
