NanoGit

NanoGit is a native macOS Git client for everyday work: open a repository, review status and diffs, stage files or hunks, commit, and fetch / pull / push—without leaving the App Sandbox.

Inspired by the clarity of classic desktop Git GUIs and the snappy feel of modern keyboard-first tools, NanoGit aims to be discoverable with the mouse and fast when you stay on the keyboard—without cloning anyone’s branding or UI.

Works with your Git • Uses Xcode Command Line Tools or Xcode Git (not the sandboxed-blocked /usr/bin/git trampoline) • Respects your existing Git config, hooks, credential helper, and remotes • Optional one-time authorization of ~/.ssh for SSH remotes; HTTPS can use AskPass

Everyday workflow • File status with hunk-level stage / unstage / discard • Commit history with graph, search, and detail diffs • Branches, remotes, tags, stash, worktrees, and conflict recovery • Cancelable network operations with clear command output

Built for Mac • SwiftUI + AppKit where lists and diffs need performance • English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese • VoiceOver labels on primary toolbar actions • Updates only through the Mac App Store

Requires macOS 14 or later and an installed Command Line Tools or Xcode Git.
