Threshyr Edu

Threshyr Edu is a free study time tracker for students, researchers, and anyone working through coursework. Log your study hours by course, keep a running timesheet, and see exactly where your time went without a subscription, an account, or a credit card.

Free forever. Not a trial, not a freemium timer that stops at five projects.

WHY STUDENTS USE IT

Most time-tracking tools are built for billing consultants, then awkwardly repurposed for coursework. Threshyr Edu is organised the way studying actually works: by course, by assignment, by week. You add a course, log time against it, and your timesheet builds itself as the term goes on.

At the end of the week you can answer the question that matters: did I put the hours in? and into which subject? instead of guessing.

WHAT YOU CAN DO • Create unlimited courses, one for every subject, module or research project you're carrying this term • Break each course into unlimited tasks: assignments, exams, projects, study sessions, presentations • Time any task with a built-in timer, or add the time manually when you forget to start one • Review a full timesheet of every session, by day or by week • See your top courses and top tasks at a glance

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Everything stays on your Mac. Threshyr Edu keeps your data on your own machine. There is no account to create, no cloud sync, no server holding your study history, and nothing to leak. You can work entirely offline. If you are tracking research hours under a confidentiality agreement, or you simply do not want your study habits sitting in someone else's database, that matters.

FREE FOREVER, WITH NO ASTERISK No credit card. No time limit. No feature that quietly locks after thirty days. Unlimited courses, unlimited tasks, unlimited timesheet history.

WHO IT IS FOR Undergraduates tracking hours per module. Postgraduate researchers logging thesis work. Students on scholarships or funded programmes that require documented study time. Anyone preparing for professional exams: CPA, bar, actuarial, medical boards, etc. Where logged hours are the whole discipline.

HOW IT TRACKS Threshyr Edu is a manual tracker: you start the timer, or you enter the time afterwards. Many people prefer that, because it forces a moment of honesty about what the hour actually contained.
