Acta Post

Acta Post adds up the acts and breaks in your cut and shows how far you are over or under your target runtime. Built by a working picture editor for picture editors, producers and assistant editors.

Give every break its own length Use different break durations within the same show. Enter each act and break in timecode, set a target and update durations as the cut changes. Reorder items or mute one to exclude it from the total while keeping it in the rundown. Acta Post stores and totals durations as whole frames.

Work with edit and delivery rates Choose 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 or 60 fps, with drop-frame timecode at 29.97 and 59.94. Set a separate delivery rate to display each item’s start and end positions on the delivery clock.

Share the rundown Export a text or PDF rundown with optional start and end positions. Copy the over/under value to pass along a timing update.

Back up and move your library Share selected shows or a full-library .acta backup to transfer work to another device. Automatic recovery copies stay on the device; save a shared backup elsewhere for protection if that device is lost. Device-to-device transfer uses files, without automatic sync.

Time a screening Use To time to capture each act and break during a screening. Finish each item as it ends, pause when needed or skip an item to keep its existing duration. Turn on Skip breaks to pause at each break and start the next act manually, keeping planned break durations unchanged. Review captured times before replacing durations or adding new items. Time Segment captures one item on its own.

Keep your shows together Each show keeps its own rundown, frame rates and start timecode. Duplicate a show for the next episode and archive finished work. Deleted shows stay in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless permanently deleted sooner.

Work on iPhone and iPad Choose light or dark appearance. Use hardware-keyboard commands on iPad for common actions, including creating shows, undoing edits and starting To time.

Keep control of your work Acta Post works offline and doesn’t require an account. The app has no advertising, tracking or analytics code. Optional App Lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode. Exported backup files aren’t encrypted.
